My Approach

I am compassionately committed to developing a genuine relationship with my clients where a safe space is created to openly share troubling issues and find ways to resolve conflicts. Suffering and stressors can easily impair a person’s life creating feelings of hopelessness and despair.

I will work with you and create a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs so we can target with precision those troubling areas. My goal is to help you regain your sense of well-being and for you to have tools you can use to overcome any potential obstacles that may arise in the future.

Abstract Background

About me...

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Washington State and received my Master’s Degree in 2001 from the University of Washington (Seattle). I'm also a Latina immigrant from Central America, fully bilingual in Spanish.

Over the years, I have seen the effects of trauma and pain on one’s life and as a war and trauma survivor myself, I practice with much empathy, passion, and care. My professional background involves working with children and families from diverse ethnic backgrounds in clinical and private settings, helping people adjust to difficult life transitions.

I practice modalities such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), IFS (Internal Family Systems), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and Attachment-focused. I'm also an approved facilitator for the Circle of Parenting Program based on attachments delivered in English or Spanish.  (https://www.circleofsecurityinternational.com/resources-for-parents/)

Some clients have shared their hesitancy to seek help because they believed that by doing so, they’d be labeled as being “crazy.”  I can reassure you that seeking help does not mean you are crazy. Quite the contrary, you are brave by reaching out and today can be a new beginning for you!
